Support Groups for Women

We have support groups for women who have experienced domestic violence, as well as for children who have witnessed domestic violence. We offer a safe space for discussion and support.

Support Groups for Women of Domestic Violence

The YWCA domestic violence support group is a place where victims and survivors can network, get support, and obtain helpful resources which will provide them with tools to move forward to a healthier and happier life. For more information contact (304) 232-2748.  Child care is available – please contact the above number or michelleh@ywcawheeling.org

Support Groups for Children who witness domestic violence

Children often suffer the affects of domestic violence in silence. Often children act out in school or while interacting with others. Our child support group provides children with age appropriate learning on the meaning of healthy play and interactions.
